1. Establish an equitable tax system, eliminating tax preferences and loopholes.

2. Eliminate wasteful federal programs and subsidies gained by special-interest groups.

3. End unemployment by creating service and public works jobs.

4. Legislate public financing for congressional election campaigns.

5. Develop enforceable programs for energy conservation.

6. Curb excessive military spending caused by unjustified new weapon systems, ineffective procurement,
and just plain waste.

7. Strengthen conflict-of-interest and open meeting requirements.

8. Overhaul laws concerning the power of multi-national corporations.

9. Protect our physical health and natural resources by defending environment standards.

10. Establish a federal consumer protection agency.

11. Enact legislation to ensure congressional review of intelligence operations such as the CIA and FBI.

12. Review the office of the Presidency, from the way we nominate and elect our chief executive to how we may guard against possible abuses of power to prevent future "Watergates."

13. Intensify action against discrimination based on sex, race, or ethnic background.

14. Create an independent office to prosecute cases of political corruption.

15. Organize citizen action to monitor Executive Branch decisions regarding placement of government contracts, subsidy programs, etc.

16. Enact federal no-fault automobile insurance legislation.

17. Reform our outmoded welfare system.

18. Develop a workable program of health insurance.
